GemPlus GemPC 430 won't work with CARDinal

Hi,

I have got a GemPlus GemPC 430 USB reader attached to a Workstation running Windows Server 2003.

The reader and the PC/SC interface functions properly that all normal softwares would be working fine with them, including some testing kit and s software called SIM Manager from Dekart software.

The problem was that when I try to access the card using CARDinal it simply reports an error message declaring "ERROR :: 0x8000000E : Unknow PC/SC error!" regardless what kind of card was in the reader(I have tried SIM cards and bank cards) except that a no card message was displayed when I didn't insert any card in. A similar message "ERROR :: 0x800005AA : Unknow PC/SC error!" would be displayed if the debug option is checked.

I have also tried on another workstation running Windows XP but the CARDinal program hang during startup(100% CPU usage, no response).

i have the same problem that you have. with my gemplus 413 SL (mines is rs232 (serial)) if someone knows why, please post here o tell me (i have to try with worons)

I try the 410 and works well with PC/SC. I use XP.
