After changing fonts, the phone doesn't start (display stays blank)

I have problems changing fonts, loaded from .pef files.

When i turn on the phone - nothing appears on the display. The light just stays on, and no buttons work. I have to remove the battery to turn it off.

Same happens on both 3330 and 3310.

What's wrong?

I've been able to change fonts earlier!

I've attached the font i'm trying to import. (large-bold)

If i just edit the font, there is no problem.
But if i load a font from a .pef file, nothing is displayed when powering on phone.

I don't want to draw every single letter!

i tried using the same method as u did but i succeded (or at least i thought so, i also load the font from a .pef file) but there's nothing wrong with my 5110, maybe u forgot to use MCU PPM only?
or maybe sometnings wrong...in my experience when the phone doesn't display anything it could mean 2 things, the first is that the contrast is scrambled and u need to re-adjust it, the second means that your phone is in the state of 'contact service' so... the ppm checksums must be bad.try recalculating it 1st.

I think it's an contact service problem...

When u have flashed the phone, and it's a non, blank screen (when displaying contact service) it's "impossible" to use the buttons...

I think that's may b ur problem...

I loaded from pef file when i impoted the ProjectZ fonts into my 3315.... If u look in nokia profile (the program) u can see if it is the contrast that makes you unable to see anything on the display.....

This is an old thread, but i never figured out what the problem was...

The font must have been corrupted in some way. I can use other fonts, but not the ones i made... (spent at least an hour making them!!).

Have some of you tried the font attatched? That is one of the fonts i have problems with.

made a font myself too (from an example) saved/imported afterwards, well, its wasn't totally blank but almost, a little bit of garbage where the letters were supposed to be
I could enter pin etc, and activate my phone, but couldn't read a thing, even although I only had changed the big font, the small menu font was *scrambled* too

Have you applied "Restore Full Factory Settings" with KNOK or any other similar utility?

might be some bug in ppmedit 1.0a though, if u change the x-size
should get me the newest version somehow

hi guyz!

why are the ringtones, language and bitmaps buttons in ppmedit 0.86 disabled? downloaded it from one of the threads here.

another concern is how did your guyz make your own fonts?
