Nokia Infrared...

Hey guys,

I have a palm computer and want a decent nokia with infrared so i can use it for sms sending and remote administration of my home pc etc

What nokias have infrared?

Nokia 7110 - I have one, big chunky fone and battery goes really quick

Nokia 6210 - VERY slow in my mind - i dont like but battery time is very good ive heard

Nokia 8210 - Mmmmm may just buy one - Anyone offering? Please email me if so

Any others??

Is it true that 6210 has 19.2kb modem and others have 8kb??

And as for the ~19kb modem, thats just silly, unless its gprs, because, is it 9.6kb? is the limit of the standard gsm network.


Also im sure thats the limit of infrared diodes as well, perhaps a bit higher.

yes the 6210 did have a modem 2x faster then the rest they were running at 9600 board where as the 62xx will run a 14.4 board rate or was it 28.8 a can remeber now
