Unlocking Nokia 8390

Please could someone help.
I have a f/mbus cable with a switch on it.
I am using starwars to put the phone into test mode which works fine but when i try use jic unlocker to unlock the phone it gives an error "Could not establish link to the phone."
What could the problem be?

i have the same fone but i have an auto switch cable, all i did was got it to test mode then use the "cyber" unlocker, Jic didnt work for me, if its a manual cord, i dunno theres been probs with those
try keeping it to fbus put it in test mode then use cybers unlocker,

In our experience it needs either a Auto Switching cable like Khrist is using or a pure Mbus cable. The problem with most of the cables with manual switches is they really do NOT isolate the F/Mbus lines they merely switch one side(wire) w/o any diode back feed protection. If you unsolder the (jumper) between f/m bus on your cable or diode isolate it, you should be able to make your current cable work.
