Talking Every psiloc app drains your battery, even when it is not running

I've noticed that every psiloc app drains your battery, even when it is not running.

I guess this is because when u install one of these apps, a lot of other psiloc-related stuff appear in your "manager"... they must be launched and run in the background while being unacessible with a long-press of the menu button.

Have u guys also noticed this? Or is it just me (because of other any app or particular usage I'm having)?

I've been using psiloc since my 7650 days and nothing runs in the background, you can check this with a program like switcher or appman which lets you see hidden programs and even individual threads. I suppose the newer psiloc apps might but i've stuck with the old ones since they are pretty much identical but dont use as much protection (e.g. total ir remote v1.41).

Just because something is installed to phone memory doesn't mean it's in use and the only time it will eat the battery is when it's being used.

yes, but i'm almost 100% sure that psiloc protection features start whenever the phone is started.

Well if u have Psiloc Screnn saver running.. then that definitely drains the battery quicker. Dunno about other aps. But I don't like the deault screensaver.. the clock is just too small... so i still use the Psiloc one even tho it does drain the battery a little.

On a side not, if i decrease the brightness of the screen, will it help in increasing the standy by time of the battery?

It sure does drain your battery..

    Hey guys...

I installed the screen saver and found that it chewed up my battery completely. For example: On average (before I installed the screen saver) my battery on my 7610 would last about 4-5, and after installing the screen saver I found my battery would last nearly one day.... it's a huge difference...

I have now reverted back to the original screen saver.

I'm not sure if that's a bug with the app but it seem's a bit stupid to me...
