Hi There
Test first what might be the source of the problem. Remove the front cover of the phone, keep the phone on. When the display fades, press gently with one finger on top of the display (not on the actual display but it's metal frame, upper part!).
If the display re-appears, you got a very common problem.
There is a rubber-part sitting between the phone's PCB ("motherboard") and the actual LCD Display. You need a torx screwdriver (T6) to open the screws in the back of the phone. One or more of them could be hidden under stickers for warranty purpose! It's got to be four screws there.
Then you can take the phone apart. You will find that the display is still connected to the PCB via four little plastic hatches/clips. Open these carefully, don't break them! Then you can take the displau unit from the PCB.
Now the Display itself is still stuck in it's plastic frame, again kept by two or four (long time since i took a 3310 apart!) little hatches. You will see them. Carefully take the LCD out of it's frame, now have a look at the actual frame.
There is a small rubbery part stuck in there. It actually contains conductors, similar to very small wires. It makes the contact between the LCD panel itself and the PCB. Pry this rubbery thingy out of the frame with a needle, and go to the nearest cell phone repair shop to get a replacement. Tell the seller it's for a 3310 because those are similar size as in other phones, but you need the exact one!
The thing should not cost more than a few cents, depending where you live (Rupees? Baht?) Here in Thailand it cost precisely 20 Baht, that is 50 us cents. When you got it, just stick it back into the frame using a little pressure since it is a little bit bigger than the hole in the frame. Put the phone back together and there you go
(i just remembered i still have one of them here, so i took a picture of it - see attachment, that is how it looks like. In real it is just about 1 cm long, 3 mm tall and 1.5 mm thick)
Kind regards....
Thanh
