    Nokia PC Suite

I bought a Nokia 6225 and installed the PC Suite on my laptop.
The phone and the laptop connect via infrared port so there is no need to buy a cable.
The PC Suite is supposed to let the user import the pictures taken by the phone to a PC, and even load your own MIDI files into your phone as ringtones.
The problem is my service provider Bell Mobility (Montreal, Canada) LOCKED these features so that users need to pay to send pictures via e-mail and pay to buy ringtones !!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to know how to unlock these features.
When I browse the phone with de PC Suite, I can see the picture directory but the access is denied! Same thing when I try to upload MIDI files.

    Thanks for any help !!!

    (-:

Have You tried Right click on pic -> Send via IrDA? (without PCSuite)
    Also try OxygenPhoneManager or MobiMB.

    GoodLuck!

    Hey thanks a lot farsh2002

I installed MobiMB and it works perfectly!!!
I can download all the pics taken by the phone and also upload any ringtones or games!
And best of all, without changing anything on the phone so it's still under warranty =P

    Thanks!

    Exclamation Nokia 6235 ringtones blocked

    Hi

I have a Nokia 6235 CDMA, the problem I'm having is a little different
I can upload some mp3 and midi files using IR to my phone
I can listen to them using the media player of the phone
but when I tried to put them as ringtones I receive an error saying:
    Invalid application

I called nokia and they said that this is a restriction of the operator
that doens't allow to use this feature, either to record a song and put as ringtone

The only difference that I notice between the files I upload and the ones that were already on the phone is that they are copyright, this was something to do with it?

Does anyone know how to solve it???

    Thanks

    Nokia 6255i ringtones

I am in the same boat. I have a Nokia 6255i CDMA through U.S. Cellular. I can't download MIDI or mp3 ringtones to the phone through PC Suite. Is there a way to load my own created ringtones into the phone so they will work? Any help will do!

Has your PC got a card reader? View your phones memory card on your PC and drag and drop your tones, files etc to your memory card!

You can then move them to where you want once on the card, eg, tones, wallpaper etc.

No, but I could probably use a card reader, they're cheap enough. Using the card reader will bypass any software used to transfer data from the PC to the phone. This will ensure that I can use MIDI and MP3 ringtones? Is the PC suite software not allowing the use of these files for ringtones? The files have the right extension but they don't play.
