I've been buying info on eBay for a bit... glad I found this site because the info here is free anyway... I came across a link to a site that told me I can't flash phones on Windows XP, is this true??

you can but you need to use a program called "userport" it's available on the downloads section of the site and I also think it is attached to a couple of threads if you do a search on the forum.

you need to set it to poll the port you are using

I would advice you an older release for example, Windows 98. The most of the programs works on it and you will not have any problem, but if you have Windows XP installed, then download the program quoted above.
