    USB to SERIAL

    I have just bought a data cable off eBay. The seller didn't know much about it so I got it for cheap, now I find out the damn thing is USB, not serial! Which is no use to me as I bought it to unlock my samsung x100 and all unlocking software uses com ports. Is there software or drivers I can d/l that makes it recognize a USB port as serial without buying an adapter?? Also does anyone know of any samsung unlocking software than uses USB port?
