Thread: Change startup logos on 6230

Thumbs up Change startup logos on 6230

I found a way to change the startup/shutdown logos that some networks brand their phones with (after / before the nokia logos)

This definately works for vodaphone and orange in the UK.

You must have firmware 5.24 installed (at least I did not see this behaviour under 4.44).

    1. Connect your phone to PC Suite (tested with 6.1 and 6.41)
    2. In the nokia phone browser expand your phone
    3. Under your phone expand 'Phone Memory(C)' (Note drive letters were changed in 5.24 from A: and B: to C: and E: - don't know why)
    4. You should have 2 folders 'Gallery' and a new one called 'Hidden Folder'
    5. If you look inside this 'Hidden Folder' you should see the image files (.gifs) for your startup and shutdown logos

Don't delete these files, your phone will still work if you do, but will show a question mark (?) on the screen at startup and shutdown. Instead simply replace these files with new images but keep the filenames the same.

You can use animated gifs too.
