i wonder what i did to a 7110

so here's a client of mine complaining about his 7110, which he cant remember the security code....so simple! i read it in noktool by rolis, then!!!!! its sec. code is 'failed'...

so what i did was to go to nokia tool 034, apply sfs tick ui settings... nope that doest work, i go to knok build 6 then full factory set... nope that even cant reset the crap.

i was bewildered, so i flashed it with latest version software, but i did backup first... after that, still: security code failed!!!

nk profile did read its sec code but when i input it to the phone, its code error!!!

now i tried with knok with 'check and fix' menu, i tried everything there but in the end, it auto-shut offs.

tired, i flashed the backup file and when it's finished...

the phone is fine, the phone didnt ask any security code again!!!

yes the 6210/6250/7110 phones use a different way of storingthe code so the normal tricks use it reset don't work the way I do is with WinDLS but I think DarkFlash allows you to upload "blank" code to the phone.

As for you "Fix" no idea

Bit of a pain this one, had the same thing happen, it's to do with the security code counter, after 5 incorrect attemps it's buggered, well sort of.
happens with the 51xx,61xx& 71xx I believe. go to google & do a search for "5x wrong security code"
it's the first hit

if after 5 attempts on securuty code u still get error, let the phone be 1-2 hours, then try again
no need flashing

You only must wait 5min after 5 failed atempts!

flash it with 7110 sec code cleaner using dark flasher v214 up,
look for the flsh file in the net and it will restore the sec code to 12345
