Vibrate alert

Hi all,
I have no idea if this is the right forum, or which is the right forum, for this request.
So please forgive if in the wrong place. With the Nokia 6170 it does have vibration alert. However, normal MIDI files uploaded to the phone do not vibrate on the phone. The vibration code appears to be embedded in the packaged MIDI files direct from Nokia and not separately in the phone (eg, the battery).
Question - Is there some way to make normal uploaded MIDI files activate the vibrate function on the phone? Perhaps there is a program that will allow you to do this.
