6820 problems.

Hello, I wanted to unlock my 6820 (AT&T Wireless) a while back and was unable to after my 5 trys... Now it is imperative that I unlock my 6820 or I will be forced to use a motorola V180 (gags!) Could I just purchase a serial data cable and use a specific program? Or do I really have to take it to a store and pay almost $20.00 just to get it unlocked? Also, does anyone know if an unlocked 6820 will accept a 64K SIM Card (from Cingular)? Thanks!

U now need to go to a service shop to get Ur phone unlocked...no way with a cable...bout MMC..I think U can Use even bigger one...
