Hi guys. I'm a little pissed off and here's why:

I've used this unlocker many times on various Nokia phones (none Symbian) and I've always been able to unlock the phones successfully. I recently purchased a Nokia 7610 on eBay (locked to a provided other than my own) figuring that I could easily unlock the phone myself...

I downloaded the app, and tried the following codes: Nokia 7610b #7, #1, and Nokia 7610 #7. (using my IMEI of course!). I have a 7610b btw..

After three attempts, I figured that perhaps the person I bought the phone from used up all five code attempts and rendered the phone only unlockable by a cable. So I went into a cellphone store and told them my story. The guy asked me what I used to try unlocking the phone, and I mentioned this site. The guy literally went to this site and unlocked my phone via the calculator and charged me $15. So I'd say I'm a little pissed off and I feel jipped. He is probably also going to now use this site to unlock phones for any other customers that come in, but that doesn't annoy me half as much as the fact that he charged me $15 to use a site which I recommended to him.

Anyway, he asked me which calculator I used, and which codes I tried, which I all told him. He then went to this site and did something (obviously) different from me, and I'm wondering what. He didn't want to tell me. He gave me this "knowledge is power" crap, but anyway I'm assuming that he used DCT4 with a custom box serial, vs. choosing 7610 off the list of phones. As to which box serial he used, I have no clue. He may have also just tried the other codes (#2,3,4,5, or 6). Again, I don't know.

Although I've already lost the money, I'd still really like to know how he was able to unlock my phone, and any suggestions are very welcome!

Nokia 7610b, locked to Cingular Wireless (USA).

Thanks so much!
