Special SIM Card for NOKIA 6340i?

I just purchased an NOKIA 6340i on E-bay. The seller mentioned this phone being a GAIT phone needs a special GAIT SIM Card. I have never heard of such thing (mainly we don't really have a GAIT carrier in Canada, although ROGERS provides both GSM & TDMA services) Will any normal GSM SIM card work?

The 6340 is two phones in one. With TDMA and GSM I believe the sim is regular sim however Rogers needs to activate and put the TDMA side of your 6340 on their TDMA network. They probably will not want to do this but should. I have read where if this is not done the phone will eventually give you problems but that might not be the case? I use one on cingular and it works very well.
