need help but not a code

hey i have already used all 5 of my code entrys and none of them worked, i have the nokia 3120b by cingular US east coast, and can someone direct me to a site or somehwere where i can buy or get the cable to connect this phone to my computer and where to buy the program so that i can unlock this phone because i really need it unlocked its for a freind of mine and he hasnt been able to find anyone to do it, so if you could please help me by getting me information on where to get the cable and program so that i can do this, i would greatly appreciate it, thank you

well have you read the faqs? I think it is explained there, and has been explained here a lot of times...

You don't need a cable and a software, you need a special hardware device that we usually denominate "box". In order to unlock the phone, it must be flashed, that is, replacing the original firmware that had a lock programmed with one that is equal but has no lock programmed.

So you'd need the cable, the box, the firmware and the appropiate software. That is sold in a package, which is rather expensive for just one phone. A box like Griffin Platinum costs something like 400 Euro.

Your best option is go to a small repair shop which will flash the phone for a small fee, max 30usd.
