7110, can't get in to the phone's phone book

Ello, i'm a bit of a newbie, so don't make me feel too stupid,

I bought a 7110 from a mate recently, got it home, and copied the phone book from my 6210, on to my PC, and then to the 7110, with oxygen phone manager.

When i pressed the navi wheel it went in to the phone book as usuall, but as i scrolled down, it would get to a point then jump to the main screen, so i scrolled down to the last entry, before it jumped to the main screen. The entry was one out of the previous phone book, but when i went in to the details it said "Invalid Selection" and again went to the main screen.

I then found that if i sent a IR card from my 6210 with the same name, and told it to replace it, it did, but then the next item from the old phone book appeared, and so on!!

I continued sending IR cards, and deleting the ones i didn't need, then for no apparent reason it wouldn't let me in to the phone book at all, when ever i press the navi wheel it said "invalid selection"

I have updated the PPM and MCU with rolis successfully, and recalculated the FAID(i think that's what it's called!!), but the phone book still won't work. There fore i guess it must be an eeprom error!!

Does any one have any ideas of what i could do to repair this??

    Thanks G

What are the flash ICs? And when you say i have to change them, is that a software or hardware change?

    Thanks

A safer and easier way is *#7370# with sim inside.
