8890 v12.20 problems?

Hello all,

I've posted a detailed version of this post in the 65XX / 82xx / 83xx / 88xx / 89XX forum with few answers. Brief version:

- flashed 8890 with v12.20
- had problems
- did a "restore factory settings"
- fixed most problems except the following:

1) when trying to select the "picture message" menu phone locks/freezes; only way to recover is disconnect battery.

2) the "caller group" titles are jibberish and the graphics are scewed to the right and wrap around.

Has anyone else experienced these problems? Any ideas on a solution?

Oh, I've tried different MCU+PPM files, used rolis, knok, etc...

Have you tried flashing a virgin eeprom, fixed these sort of problems on my 8250, and if a new mcu/ppm didn't fix it id suspect eeprom.

getting closer.. ran nokia tools "Special Factory Settings" restore... fixed the "picture message" lock/freezing and the jibberish names for the caller groups.... 1 problem left I lost the caller group icons ... does anyone know of a website that has the default icons then I can just use logomanger to upload them back onto the phone...
