Thread: 3310 to 3330 problem!!

    Unhappy 3310 to 3330 problem!!

    Can anybody help for my 3310 upgrade to 3330, I did change 3330 4mb ic and full fls to it, but it cannot turn on, it's did light up the LED when flashing just like 3330 being flash, but after that it did on . The flash files is downloaded from a working 3330. can anybody give advice? thanks in advance!

    write back original flash from your 3310 - u can;t convert 3310 to 3330, only 3310 to 3315

    You can if you change the flash, like he did. (very courageous...)
    Yes try to reflash your backup and if it doesn't work, it can be because all the pads of the flash are not properly soldered... 'normal' with these uBGAs...

    I did flash back the 3310 files, it work fine. I did read the forum from nok free here, they say just change the ic from 2mb to 4mb(3310 ic to 3330 ic) then can upgrade to 3330, I think it is not true right? or may be still have ic need to be change, anyhow, if someone knew how to solve it please help k!

    Not really helping you, but I wondered how you managed to change the IC... I never did it myself, but just removed some uBGA ICs from a dead phone to see how they were.
    Seemed that it must be awful to place the component correctly on the pads! and also some bits of solder leaked around, and it is difficult to remove without heating the IC a lot.. the problem seems not to be removing the IC but putting it back.

    just used smd blower, the difficult one is resolder the soldering lead into the ic. it might take an hour to change it.

    OK......! Any Pro can give advice how to upgrade 3310 to 3330???????????????
