Definitivamente la unica forma de hallar una forma efectiva de cambiar el ESN y que funcione correctamente es que trabajemos juntos y no cada uno por su lado.
Por eso les propongo que hagamos posts de las eeprom (.bin) sacadas con Nokiasoc de diferentes modelos y versiones de software para agilizar el proceso.
Esto nos permitirá hacer una base de datos de diferentes eeprom y permite a gente con experiencia en cracking (modestamente me incluyo) en hallar patrones en los archivos que permitan encontrar cuál es el dato que falta modificar en el archivo .bin para que de esta forma el nuevo ESN quede completamente funcional.

Los archivos .bin que se posteen deben ser de ESN que funcionene correctamente. Es decir la eeprom original del teléfono. No sirve de nada postear eeprom con ESN modificados porque ya sabemos que no funcionan.
Propongo que el nombre del archivo sea de la siguiente forma:
[modelo]_[version sw]_[esn en hexadecimal].bin
Ejemplo:
Nokia 5120 version 3.47 con esn FD9ECA1E el nombre del archivo seria -->
5120-NSC1_v3.47_FD9ECA1E.bin

Nokia 6120 version 3.02 con esn FD34FA23 el nombre del archivo seria --->
6120-NSC3_v3.02_FD34FA23.bin

Nokia 5120i version 5.0 con esn FDF43F6A el nombre del archivo seria --->
5120i-NSC1_v5.0_FDF43F6A.bin

RECUERDE COMPRIMIR EL ARCHIVO EN .ZIP ANTES DE POSTEARLO EL NOMBRE DEL ARCHIVO ES EL MISMO PERO CON EXTENSION .ZIP

Quienes no entiendan a lo que me refiero por favor documentense un poco mas para aprender a usar nokisoc y puedan tambien colaborar mandando sus .bin ORIGINALES

Al colocar sus mensajes tratemos en lo posible de hacerlo en ingles y español, o solamete en ingles. pero solamente en español no porque no esta permitido.

Estoy seguro que si tenemos bastantes .bin podremos descifrar el algoritmo de validación. Asi que manos a la obra y a postear .bin SOLO ORIGINALES, MODIFICADOS NO FUNCIONAN.

Para comenzar les posteo el .bin ORIGINAL de un 5120 que tengo .

Definitively the only form of finding an effective form of changing the ESN and that it works correctly it is that we work together and not each one for their side.
For that reason I propose make posts of the eeprom (.bin) taken out with Nokiasoc of different models and software versions to speed up the process.
This will allow us to make a database of different eeprom and it allows to people with experience in cracking (modestly I include myself) in finding patterns in the files that allow to find which data need to be modified in the .bin file so the new ESN is totally functional.

The files.bin that you will post must be of working ESN, I mean, the original eeprom of the telephone. Don't post eeprom with modified ESN because we already know that they don't work.

I intend that the name of the file is in the following way:
[model]_[version sw]_[esn in hex].bin

Example:
Nokia 5120 version 3.47 with esn FD9ECA1E the filename would be -->
5120-NSC1_v3.47_FD9ECA1E.bin

Nokia 6120 version 3.02 with esn FD34FA23 the filename would be --->
6120-NSC3_v3.02_FD34FA23.bin

Nokia 5120i version 5.0 with esn FDF43F6A the filename would be--->
5120i-NSC1_v5.0_FDF43F6A.bin

REMEMBER PACK YOUR .BIN FILE IN ZIP FORMAT, THE FILENAME IS THE SAME BUT WITH .ZIP EXTENSION.ZIP

If you don't understand what I'm talking, please refer documents to learn how to use nokisoc and then you can also collaborate sending your ORIGINAL .bin files.

I am for sure if we have enough .bin files will be able to decrypt the validation algorithm. So let's go and post ORIGINAL .bin files. (MODIFIED .bin files doesn't WORK.)

First do you have a way to Read and Write your eeprom??

If you do and did make a back up of your eeprom please attach in a post to us or the forum (like Loncho) suggested.

already have mine on my site along with rudimentary analysis. What you are forgetting is that faid in gsm includes the flash checksums so I asume that the TDMA one will require those as well. And is the thing hilighted in the image the full faid? I know its somewhere at the start of the eeprom and the esn follows it but I don't exactly know where it starts off.

HEY GUYS, PLEASE CHEKOUT THIS SOFTWARE.
It calculates checksums for ESN but i don't know how edit the .bin file with this chekcsum.
Test it and post your results here.

That soft is written to calculate the checksum for the cdma phones. Ex. Samsung.

Hola soy de Venezuela, y tengo un problema con mi cable mbus/fbus, yo lo hice de una pagina web que encontre el sirve para tonos, logos y mariqueritas asi, me funciono tambien con wintesla, pero mal, osea mi tele no lo reconoce como conectado aunque funciona con logomanager y programitas asi que no se meten con la eeprom, sera que alguien me puede decir que hice mal? el chip que use es el equivalente al max232 el icl232cpe.

Logomanager and ringtone stuff never worked for me on tdma phones. If nokiasoc doesnt work and its set to the right comport then you have a problem. If the chip is truly equivalent then you have no problem.

gracias por sus comentarios pero se que se porque se que tengo instalados los modulos de eintesla, es mas con el wintesla he hecho modificaciones a los nams de mi telefono y funciono, pero lo que me preocupa es el echo de que no aparece en la pantalla cable de datos conectado, cuando un amigo se compro un cable y a el si le aparece en su tele que esta conectado, es un telefono TDMA 6120

Thanks for your comments. I know that wintesla is correctly installed, i have my support modules, i wrote in The NAM special characteres from other languages, but the problem is that my phone dont display data cable connected when in my friend's phone it is displayed (whit another cable)

logomanager version1.28 and 1.29 works perfectly with most tdma models i personally tested with (5120i,5125,6120,6160,6161,8260,and 3320/3360) logomager works with mbus and works also with infrared adapter ..i tested with both and all works perfectly , i just recibed some bugs like this :
i can upload logos to all phones but i just can upload ringtones to 3320/3360

You mentioned personally trying several TDMA phones w/LogoManager. Curious on the 33xx series did you try both Mbus and IR or just IR . So both the graphics and ringtones worked?

I read all posted messages, and can't find any solution to this problem, as I mentioned before, for example: the phone is activated in Verizon, I want to activate the same phone in Cingular, all I need is change the IRDB setting, and Access the NAM, the problem is the access to NAM that is lock with a subsidy lock code, without that code I can't access to NAM, or program area. In other cases the phone has access to NAM, and when I reset the IRDB, the access to the NAM automatically lock. Please any people with a solution to this problem reply.....Franky

A thousand times have been said that some options within nokiasoc damages cellphones, if you just read previous post you should know that.

.bin files are usually eeprom data. The eeprom has the esn, sometimes the phone book, etc. The fls files are usually flash data which is the phones programming instructions and data like ringtones and graphics. FAID is flash authority id, this is computed from flash checksums and things in the eeprom including the esn. If the faid is incorrect, the phone will not ever find signal.

Hi guys again,
all I have to say is which I readed all bulletin messages posted, and some members ask the same, but never write anything that solve this. All the members that try to help, only touch the theme. I Know that ASOC2 work, I have the lastest version, and work,also I find a version of ASOC with the capacity of read the eepprom, and lock status,ASOC don't damage the phone, only block the access to NAM programig when is a newest version like 5125v7.00. I would try to post the bin file of any v7.00 phone. Bye.
