Ok this might sound strange but I thought some of you genious here could help me... I have a 3310 (NHM-5) SW v5.03 phone that someone did some custom programming on however this phone can only be used outside the U.S. I want to flash the modified part of the phone to my 3390 to be used in the U.S. I was able to backup the full flash of the 3310 and break it into the EEPROM, MCU, PPM, and PMM parts. I downloaded a virgin 5.03 3310 flash to compare the parts but wasn't able to find the full (2MB) flash (like my backup) so I was only able to extract the MCU and PPM but not the EEPROM or PMM parts for comparison. (I'm trying to find where the differences are.) I found that the MCU is IDENTICAL on both virgin and modded flashes. However I found some differences in the PPM parts as follows:

PPM 01 LPCS: DIFFERENT
PPM 02 GSMC: DIFFERENT
PPM 03 FONT: DIFFERENT
PPM 04 TEXT: DIFFERENT
PPM 05 AORD: DIFFERENT
PPM 06 TONE: IDENTICAL
PPM 07 PLMN: IDENTICAL
PPM 08 LDB: DIFFERENT

Since I do not have a full virgin file I still cannot compare the EEPROM and PMM.

So my question is, where would these "custom changes" be since they are not the normal things such as ringtones, etc. are they in the EEPROM or PMM? Is it possible to take parts of a 3310 and combine it with a 3390 and reflash the 3390 to move over these custom features to the 3390? Am I crazy or what?

TIA!
