Cant even read my S45

I've got a problem, i need to unlock my Siemens S45 and i wish to use the Siemens logger 4.02.

But the problem is i cant even read the phone using the supplied datacable. The thing is i have no sim card and im using Win ME, and wish to know whether the software i intend to use will work and why i cant read my phone using software such as the above and even the Siemens upgrade software.

I need to know why i cant read my phone on the COM ports, as it just keeps on saying my phone isn't connected.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

what do you mean : supplied cable ? cable given with phone ? - it's a data cable - you need servie cable. or maybe it's com port problem ?

I mean im using the supplied cable that comes with the phone.

I know it cant be a COM port error as i have used a data cable with my 8210 before.

Im wondering could it be that the phone has no SIM card and it only boorts up to the demonstation part, where you ca\n access things such as the games and make SOS calls.

so you are a happy owner of data cable ! you have to buy service cable !!!

you can't use data cable !!!
