Plz help me with my 6510

I just got a second-hand 6510 and I like its funtion. But sometime when I browse my phone book, it stops working for some seconds and then restart. Someone tell me that it's due to I press keys too fast. Is there any one have same problem with me and Can someone tell me how can resolve it. Is it better to upgrage to v. 4.21. How can I do it by mysefl or I must bring it to Nokia center?

i have the same effect on my fone its only sometimes when i just
play with my fone it just turn it self off and then on again

I have the same problem at 3330.The reason is the symbols that you use at phone book.Sometimes my phone resets while I am browsing messages.(that have symbols).Sometimes it resets while I am trying to open snake.Do not use symbols everything will be ok.

well, I own a 6510 from the moment it came on market, and I can tell you this.... First software version was v3.54, and it was awfull. Phone turned off every 30 min, you didn`t even had chance to browse it. Month ago, I upgrade a software, v4.12 and everythink was OK, the phone worked much faster and it was very stabile..... then the first trouble started when I wrote and save a notice in calendar... from that moment, the phone is shame s...... as it was on start! I`ve empty my whole calendar, and everything was in normal again. This phone has very unstabile memory if you use it for everything the phone "can" do. v4.22 has a Chinese language improovement & some melodys have been changed! Suggestion: If you DON`T use calendar, everything will be OK... no reseting or turning off....

NO, Lala... Those symbols may cause problems on 3330, but NOT on 6510. Even, the Croatian language support on sw v4.12 work fine, with no problems! Probems on 6510 are totaly different than problems on 3330!

My 3330 resets because of this fonts.I do not know 6510.It was just an advice.Is there any way for fixing 3330`s bug.

normaly if i counter this type of prob i'll flash it n the phone will be fine, but don't know how about your phone. have u try to master reset???

flash the phones with newest firmware if u have the tools u need.
if not just go to a service center and ask for this to be done. then all will be ok.

Master reseting of a phone WON`T work. You must flash it and my suggestion is to upgrade AT LEAST sw v4.12! Listen to me.... flash it with NEW software, DO NOT use calendar notes and everything will be OK!

Sorry Lala, I`m not familliar wit NOKIA series3xxx, but I think you should also try a NEW software for your 3330!

There is no need to volume up START UP tone??? Or??? The start up volume is loud enough if you put phone on your ear!

Thanks all of you for your answer. I think I'll upgrade my phone up to v. 4.21. Because, I used to use an Ericsson mobile and it also has some small bug, when I upgraded it, it has work perfertly. I think any brand has it own faults, and the manufacturer will find a solution after intruduce it. So the last soft version is the least bug that the phone has.

You have to press following digits: *#0000# and you`ll see everything! Latest sw is V 04.21 for 6510!
