chip removing?????????

hi i got a new 8310 chip for my 8310 the problem is now i have to remove the old one that doesnt work (barred). ive got a normal soldering iron and was wondering if i can remove it with that. im a little scared that while trying to take this advanced chip to come of i may break it or even break the circuit board because ive tride to take over chips of other broken phone and have failed is there an easy solution or do i need any over hot tools to remove it.

any help needed.

How do you propose resoldering this chip on ?
Forget that how are you going to remove it ?

Theres like 50 or so small solder points under that chip if not more and you are going to have a bash with a soldering iron ?

You need a solder rework station , alot of patience and soldering experience

I think a NO would have been much better, but as you say he needs a Hotwork station and a but of luck.

yeah, rework station and luck, but I'd rather prefer experience and knowlegde..if ya wanna do this..find a pro that can do it for you!

btw..replacing that chip isn't the only problem, u still need an imei generator to change to the imei u want..works with some codes

Yep very true, but what if I was to take a chip from a working (imei not barred) phone and put that in it, I take it that the IMEI number would change to what is on that chip?

Don't think it would work, I could be wrong though, but I think I've read somewhere that the imei on dct4 is kept at 3 places
on that otp chip, eeprom, and somewhere else (or maybe its 2 places, don't remember) and all those places have to match the same imei
