Can I Clone my Phone? 8310

Hi Guys, just spent about two hours reading posts on these forums - very interesting stuff! - i have a quick question, any insight would be much appreciated!

I have two 8310's one of which i bought legitimatley from O2, and one which i accquired recently from a friend because it is blacklisted - i understand no one has cracked the holy grail of 8310 IMEI changing as yet so, i was wondering if i could simply download the software, eeprom etc from my legit phone, and copy it to the blacklisted phone - thereby creating a clone of the first phone, giving both phones the working IMEI? - anyone got any ideas?

Mate I am 99% sure this cant be done.
Read through some of posts and read something about the IMEI being stored in 3 different places or somethin and one of them is OTP (apparantly stands for One Time Programmable), though someone had an idea about being able to change it.

Have a look around mate, you'll learn a lot!
