flashing 8310 using IRdA

First of all,
Can i flash the phone using IRdA, I was told that it might be a bit iff-y, with the IR connection an all ?

there is a later version, isn,t there ?

If so, what programs should i use, (there are so many out there), and where can i get the latest flash files for it ?

No it not possible to flash by IR think about it, HOW is the phone going to understand the data that sent to by IR if you are re-writing the phones software.

As for the latest version I think its 6.01 or 6.04
