...until Globe find a solution on how they will bill their prepaid GPRS users.

what do you mean a way?does it take that long before they could think of a way to charge the billing? how long would it still last?i'm planning to switch to globe but then i'm afraid that the moment i would switch, the billing would start

right now globe can already monitor the kilobytes that you are downloading... for post paid subscribers...

    maybe for prepaids too

could somebody from the globe prepaid subscribers be patient enough to monitor if the gprs would no longer be free for the next month.

Could you use the phone as a modem and connect to gprs?

Because if we use it as a modem wouldn't it be very expensive if it were to call to a dial-up ISP? it would be chagred as a call right?

The postpaid subscriber's bills are "easier" to manage since it doesn't need to be in real-time since each postpaid subs have only one billing cycle per month, right? For prepaid subs, billing is more complicated since it should be as real time as possible. It means that once the prepaid balance approached "0", the service should be cut-off immediately, otherwise the subs will have free usage. Got the point now???

I hope they wont charge yet. I just wish they rather think of something where they can earn off that free WAP over GPRS. That GlobeXTM is one and maybe they can think of something else.

Besides if they charge WAP over GPRS, i mean, many people wouldnt be using GlobeXTM.

I have been a Globe subscriber ever since though dont mind switching to Smart, but cant because of their good reception on my area and most importantly, free WAP over GPRS.
