8310 IMEI Changing

Could someone please advise me if the IMEI of a 8310 can be changed via software and cable.

my m8 had a 8310 black listed imei and went up noth(england) and when he came back it was fully working BUT the imei on the phone (both back of the phone and when i did *#06#) was still the same,how was this done? any 1 know?

I live up North (england) my mates do this, this is how they do it.

The work at network call centre (not saying which for obvious reasons), they take the number off the blacklist. Now the phones work again.


*Please dont ask me to do it for you, its already dodgy as it is.

all nokia dct4 phone have thier imei stored in a once programmable chip.ie you cannot reprogram it,,,

there is a dct4 imei rebuilder available,
it means desoldering ths chip from the pcb..
it is very daer,,,

also imei can be changed on dct4..ie.. when you enter
*#92702689#
the serial number will be displayed along with more screens with more info, this can be changed by modding ths flash.
but this is only cosmetic...the real areas of the phone .ie when you enter *#06#will still contain ths orignal imei

i think DCt4 IMEI Changer will come out soon! the real thing without changing uem chip or what so ever. guys you have to realize in this world we live in (computer age) nothing is impossible peace out!

buy 1 from wool worths and change the pcb then take barred 1 back to shop say some error in buying it and get your money back aswell as the working pcb for your fone

louisekennedy has the best solution, someone i know (hmmmmm) used to do this in the phillips c12 pic chip days. remember that? unlimited credit on your phone? when the phones got barred they put 30v high current psu on terminals and fried the main board then bought one from comet and swapped the insides! simple, bobs your wosname. only prob is you must kill the board outright otherwise when nokia get it back they will see the imei and smell a rat!!
