Is it posible to use this Test card emulation kits available on the net? I have heard that the new phones do need other test cards than the widelyb available on net.

Yes, it's possible.
It works fine with T2288.
Run emulator, enter "Test Mode" by holding # for about 3sec and type 58#, it will show you security code
(59# for lock code)
