sounds like software corruption, I tried converting a 3330 into a 3350, most things worked apart from the screen resolution and this key problem. reflash it with the latest software and update faid, but before you do that reset all of the phone (i.e factory reset) and see if this helps.

Cleans the pcb with thinner, then dry it.Thinner is a cheapest form of cleaning pcb,set back is only the LEDS.Thinner likes to eat my LEDS......![]()
pure alcohol buddy.. the best cleaner known to phones. otherwise known as isapropanol. thinner will also eat plastic chips (i.e what your phone uses) and will eat thin metal (i.e again what your phone uses. I soak problematic PCB's in alcohol overnight or in some cases for a few days. come out nice and clean and usualy work.

Yes u're rigth Buddy, poor man like me uses thinner only, thanks
its not that expensive, and you can buy it from the chemist. its great for cleaning other things too, like indellible (permanent) ink.
you can usually just steal it from work, most industry uses it.

Buddy,do u have the dct4 imei rebuiltder?think of getting one,is worth buying?thanks for the reply,mark
nope, sorry I dont got that one, wish I did though. problem is that to change the imei of the phone you also gotta change the UEM which would be a ba***rd of a job as its a uBga device, and a small one at that.
good thing is that new UEM's are going for about £5 now (from china) so I'm assuming were going to see more people offering IMEI changing.
