Nokia 8850 Signal Problem

My 8850 works fine 99% of the time on GSM 900 networks in the UK. However, it has trouble holding gsm 1800 reception (Orange and T-mobile). Loses reception for short periods during charging. Worst problems occur when battery is fully charged or down to 1 bar. Already replaced arial and battery and upgraded software (MCU and PPM) to v 5.31

Anyone know if I need to alter anything else in the software department eg checksums, eeprom etc.
Or is this a hardware fault?

hardware fault internasl coponents RF faulty I think thers a chip responsible for 1800MHZ SIDE OF THINGS faulty as you say 900MHz workin OK-
