    Bloody WAVS

i donwloaded a .wav file from a ringtone group (nelly work it), now this works fine on recorder(7650), but when i created my own wav i had to choose between:
    A/mu-Law Wave(*.wav)
    ACM wavform (*.wma, *.wav)
    DVI/IMA ADPCM (*.wav)
    Microsoft ADPCM(*.wav)
    Windows PCM(*.wav)

now i opened the nelly song and it was a/mu law type i think, i saved the file and it ended up like 2mb!!!

it was originally an mp3 so that cud be the problem on why its big, but it just doesnt play on my fone

    any help?

Use Windows PCM format. This is the standard uncompressed waveform format.
However, I suggest you convert it to amr (saves a lot of space).

To assign a WAV file as a ring tonne do it how you would with any other sound file... Select the profile, the choose the ringing tone option and if the wav file is saved in your phones recorder it should appear in the list....
    Cheers

    Talking Wavs Ringertones

It is possible to create small wavs around 150kb for you to have as a ringtone and these would have far greater quality sound as well. What you have to do is use a simple wavrecording programme. Play the music of whatever programme, eg Winamp and then press record on your WAV recording programme but make sure the properties for the wav are low as the file size will increse with quality. Save then send to your phone and bobs your uncle, you've got a WAV ringtone with good sound quality and only 150kb in size!!

You have to use a special programme, there are many out ther and small in size, just search for them on google! Sorry i cant remember the exact names of the programmes but they are easy to come across. -=UtseenO=-
