broken switch 7650

Hi Guys,

I have done a search for this but could not find anything. Plz help with:

A mate brought me his 7650, he has broken the on/off button and there is no way (i can see) of powering on the fone.

What can i do?? I have T6 etc screwdrivers!

1. try to blow some air under the button. maybe there is dust inside and that's the problem.
2. take it to the next NSC

i had the same problem, and the only way i could switch it on/off is by taking of the sim cover and sticking in a sharp knife or thin screwdriver into the thin hole beside the switch..try pushing the knife inwards and hopefully ull switch it on...otherwise take it to NSC ( which is what i did after it reallly pissed me off)

Try blowing the dust from under the button, or else take it to your NSC for a new switch.

I would not recommend pushing things behind the switch.
