Alcatel 511 Wray 5.5

Hello everybody!!
I only have to change the IMEI of my Alcatel 511,but tryng with Wray 5.5,it says COMMMUNCICATION ERROR =(
I'm a perfect newbie....When i click on "connect" the phone must be on or off? And can you say me something on how insert the cable in the phone?

the phone must be off. where were you connecting the fone when it says communication error. it would still do that when the phone is not connected. just put the cable below the battery you will contacts for unlock cable connection
