8210 upgrade

Hi All,

been reading and learning. Have managed to flash my ROM6 8210 to 8250 (and fading LEDs too - yes i know this isnt much for some! But hey im new )

I was wondering if the 8250 screen (the lcd and keypad unit) can be used with the 8210? (It has a higher resolution I believe?) Or if not is there possibly a way to mount a higher res lcd to the 8210?

I suggest you search the forum. Most of the time you will find answers to old questions lke these. But you are a newbie (like i was once) so i will let you off

The 8250 screen/keypad assembly will not work with the 8210. The problem is that if you compare the two circuit boards the 8210 keypads are in different positions to the 8250. The 8210 and 8250 use the same LCD, just in a different frame. This LCD can also be used in the 8850 (i have done before).

Even if you swap the backing keypad it will make no difference.
