nokia 8310 message on screen is it locked ?

recently bought second hand 8310 did have 02 sim card in but i put orange one in it worked for about 3 days then when i switch it on i keep getting this message SIMCARD REGISTRATION FAILED.
does anyone know what this means just in case it is locked here is the imei 350985105761918 .its also uk.

I think you had better take it back and get your money back then m8!

Seems that phone has been reported lost/stolen and the networks have put a block on the IMEI

the phone is not locked as you can put in any simcard you want, your phone could be barred (or "blocked" or "blacklisted"). in this case you should go to your phone company and ask the money back, or ask them to unblock the phone (they may have blocked it by mistake). but do you get "sim registeration failed" when you put an orange simcard in? or it happens with every simcard you use? if you get the message with every simcard - the phone is barred. otherwise it can be a problem with the simcard.
