8250 loses signal then restarts

I've just flashed my 8250 up to v5.04 and it loses signal a lot. When it does the phone restarts, although I don't have to enter the pin again.

I know FAID is to do with signal, what do people recommend using to calculate it? I used eeprom tools 3.1 when I did it.

I'm thinking about a full eeprom flash using a virgin eeprom, how difficult is this and what has to be re-entered afterwards?

U may use eeprom tool 3.1 to repair IMEI and set default SP Lock again.

you may use nkcakc and then press F1. it worked with me

When I try to repair IMEI it says

Unable Set Full Factory !
Please switch off/on the phone and try again
