    8210 ALWAYS displays "Contact Service"

I have this phone that said "Insert Sim Card" then "Contact Service". I got the thing working by flashing MCU and PPM. It kept resetting itself so I flash the eeprom. Now all it displays is "Contact Service". I have tried flashing numerous different MCU and PPM files as well as virgin eeproms. Nothing works. I have also tried using Nfader as Chunkhead suggests but this does not work either. Any ideas?

" Use Knok95, yet to let me down!

Quickset FAID, Reset User interface settings, Reset Full Factory Settings, Reset SP Locks, Set new IMEI, Use original IMEI, Quickset faid! In that order! "

I have the same problem as the treadstarter - and Knok95 gives me this message:

MBUS_SecurityCommand : cannot execute 'Enable extended commands'
    CMD_handlecommands : cannot analyze phone
MBUS_SecurityCommand : cannot execute 'Enable extended commands'

As soon as I switch on the phone it comes up with CONTACT SERVICE, I tried various flashes and eeproms.
The MBUS Cable is connected properly (I can do whatever i want with any other phone)

anyone with a another Idea for this?

    thanx, NT

    CONTACT SERVICE

1)Connect phone via Mbus cable, power on and run Eeprom Tools v4.0
2)Uncheck "DTR On" and click "Read Info" (Magnifying Glass)
3)Allow to read phone info, click "Test"
    4) If fail tests regarding Cobba, phone has hardware fault!, If return PPM or MCU fail, goto step 5.
    5) Open Nfader By Al, select file (*.fls), uncheck "Fade on" and "Fade Off" if you do not want fading leds, check "kill CS/FAID" and click apply!
    6) Flash newly saved file to phone and update as usual!
A friend will bail you out of jail! A true friend will be in the cell with you saying " Shit, we really fucked up this time!!!"

    @ NokiaTrasher

I had the same thing with Eeprom Tools. I think I have a problem with my mbus cable, because Nokia Tool by Rolis 1.8 and Knok 95 (when I update FAID using mbus), they all don't seem to recognise the phone. Buying a new cable today - will keep you posted. I have finally got the phone to work - I just need a new mbus to update FAID, set new IMEI and reset SP locks. I tried a million different MCU and PPM files and virgin eeproms but only ONE worked for me. Email me if you want these files - see my profile.

    Cheers
