Calling For someone to write Java program

    Please o Please o Please

Could someone out there write a simple hex editor in java for all of us out there who are too cheap for GPRS (it costs a bucket here in SA), data cables ect.

what i propose is taking the .jar file and using ones computer converting it into hex, then using free mms dites sending it the phone. the text can then be copied into the java based hex editor and saved back to the phone as a .jar file

i know it can be done, now i just need someone who knows how to do it

Sounds like quite a clever idea actually however wouldnt have a clue where to start

Dont really need a hex editor, just something that can split and combine a file???

i was thinking more along the line of mms cus eventhough more free serviceses send sms's the amount you would have to send for say a 50k java game would be fanominal. with mms's you have to send about 10x less.

but if you could get it to work automatically off say the icq network and the phone prog picked them up as it recieved them, added it to the file ad deleated them right away, it wouldent realy mater if it took say 100 sms's (16000 chars)

im new to programing, i know pascal and im busy learning c++ now but im told java is real hard.

Java isnt too hard, I just cant stand it because I always find it too slow and sluggish for pc based stuff... Its pretty similar to C++ though

Ive just never used it on mobile phones though... So its a little different as you have to know how the phone works how it treats incomming sms and protocols like that, thats why its more awkward... If you posted a message on the actually Nokia Mobile Phone Developers forum, there are a whole load of programmers on there, who are more familiar with this kind of programming... Maybe they could knock something up really fast???
