    6210 switches on by itself!

I have a 6210 that when you connect the battery, the phone switches on by itself! If you then switch the phone off using power button, phone goes off then approx 5 seconds later, switches back on again!!

I dont think that the on/off switch is faulty coz it works like normal in the menu : Switch off>>General>>Profile2 etc.

    What do you think?

Try a new flash!? Clean the contacts at the battery terminals also!!!

I'll recommend you to replace your phone if it's under warranty. I saw a similar case with my friend's mobile. He tried nearly everything possible on planet earth to solve the problem like flashing new firmware, reflashing etc. but to no avail. So you understand...

The chance of a 6210 still being under warranty is VERY slim!!! They are well out of production now!!! They have even been replaced by the 6310!

...if only i'd had the foresight to get that super-extended warrany with the phone

I guess i'll let you know after i've tried updating the phone -

yjagota : If your friend still had trouble that would indicate some sort of hardware trouble that no amount of reflashing could fix...perhaps the on/off button IS faulty?
