6210 no signal - not hardware prob

I had a 6210 v5.56 which i successfully flashed with 6250 mcu+ppm, but could not get signal on 1800 Mhz and was told to use a full flash. So i flashed the file using rolis but when i went to set FAId i noticed that the locks were either EEEEEEE or FFFF for all of them - so i reset SP locks, Factory reset and update FAID, but the phone gets no signal and resets every 15 seconds or so - after each reset it doesnt accept sim card - locks revert to as above...

So then i tried flashing back my 6210 backup file using rolis, and this works, but the locks are still the same and the same problem exists - is the phone now just good for spare parts?

try using a different eeprom, i had the same problem and then tried flashing a different eeprom form a 6250 and reception was fine, also did u remember 2 reset the imei

Question: Why do you have to reset the IMEI?

IT WORKS!! Thanks for your help, ive never had a problem before of this kind so if you could give me more information as to why this is necessary i would be most grateful..

I knew that the eeprom was fine coz i flashed back my full 6210 file.... i just didnt know about the IMEI thing.

not 100% sure but goes something like this:
when you upgraded your 6210, you used a different eeprom, which contains the imei, usually the person who uploaded it changes both of the imei's to something ridiculous like 999999999999 which obviously wont register with the network or something lke that and so no reception basically
