Lightbulb 3510 + cable + pc/pda not for internet? why?

I've been browsing this and some other forums in search of answers to make it perfectly clear if and why it's not possible to use following configuration for internet access:
    Nokia 3510i
    DAU9P F-BUS/M2-BUS datacable
    PC or Palm PDA

All I've found are mostly blunt reply's with similar content:
    - you can't use 3510 for internet connection because 3510 doesn't have built-in-modem
    - F-BUS/M-BUS datacable for 3510 is not designed for internet access but only for sending/receiving logos, applications etc.
    - ...

Excuse me, I'm a newbie but I don't buy it!

Objection 1: 3510i must have built-in modem because it's a WAP/GPRS phone and I can use the phone itself for GSM Data internet connections for example with internal WAP-browser or with 'Reqwireless Webviewer' midlet!

Objection 2: F-BUS standard can be used for both receiving and sending data (even in duplex mode). Allthough there's no pop-port on 3510 it has a F-BUS connection point under the battery so this is only a cosmetic 'defect'.

Conclusion: If above described configuration really isn't currently possible it must be more likely a missing software issue (for example, there's currently no midlet which works like a network proxy translating packets to pc/pda eatable form). If the problem lies somewhere else, could someone please explain technically where exactly?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

1.The f-bus protocol isnt capable for internet connection
2.Nokia 3510i is just a fun phone, with a low price. Dont ask for so much. If you want a cheap phone for internet access buy a motorola c350 or something like that..
