I've read on the OPM forums that once a 6100 (or indeed any of the following 3510i, 5100, 6200, 6610, 6800, 7210, 7250 and 8910i) has it's operator logo updated using software, the phoe switches into another mode that will disable it from recieving any op logos via WAP or SMS etc..

Has anyone done this with any of these phones? Does it enable you to view existing op logo via software?

Are there any downsides other than those mentioned to note about the firmware mode change and is it possible to restore it previous state without a firmware flash?
