The frequency that the phone uses is set by the network.... here in the UK 02 & Vodafone use 900mhz, & Orange & T Mobile use 1800mhz.

Your service provider will be able to tell you which one it uses, or search on the net.............Hope this helps.

what if operator has both 900 & 1800 and want to know which one is currently in use?
with netmonitor you can see what channels you use.
but was it over 200 channels are 1800MHz or what?
ch 90-108 is 900MHz for sure, that i know.
(netmonitor test 001 see currently used channel)

some phones have had indicator if they use 1800MHz, i know it can't yet be done to phone which don't have them..
