    7110 Flash problem

I just flashed a 7110 with v5.01 after it got a bit damp and came up with contact service. The phone now boots up but keeps saying Insert Sim Card. If you can get it to accept the sim then you get a reasonable signal then suddenly Insert Sim Card comes up again. You can sometimes clear this by pressing the red end call button. It is very similar to when my FAID settings were incorrect on my 6210. Has anyone else experienced this problem or got any ideas? Thanks.

When I upload the software I get the message that "The MCU checksum is incorrect - contact service will be displayed"
I downloaded a full v5.01. I will try Rolis, I think I may have already done this. Thanks.

i have a similar problem with a 7110 i have tried to flash 2 different sw packages to it but it still tries to register on network and then goes contact service. i have checked it with wintesla and it says that there is a problem with mcu and ppm checksums, i dont suppose anybody has got a tried and tested software package have they please. i could have a hardware fault with this phone then again it could still be corrupted software

  9. Talking Contact Service....

...after flash with 7110 it´s regular.

When you haved Flash your 7110,after flash you got Contact Service try the Handy on Datacabel and use Nokiatool by Jordik 3.01 or 3.21.
Set correctly Imei, clear Simlocks, set new Faid and make a factore reset and your Handy funktionalized 100%.

This is really odd, if I put a O2 (BTCellnet, GSM900) SIM in the phone it boots no problem. If I put a T-Mobile or Orange (GSM 1800) SIM it does not recognise it and says INSERT SIM CARD. Any ideas what may cause this? Do you think I have a hardware fault? Thanks.

I have the same problem: with some sim cards there is a message "sim card rejected" and with some other everything is ok. What should I do?
