Question One question before I go ahead to unlock my phone

I heard that if a wrong unlock code is entered four times, then the phone will permanently be locked. Does it mean that the phone will never be able to be unlocked and only accept the original carrier’s SIM card? OR THE PHONE CAN NO LONGER BE USED EVEN WITH THE ORIGINAL CARRIER’S SIM CARD?

Thanks in advance for any input!

It means that the only way to unlock your phone will be with a cable and software........ Unti lthen the phone will only work with the original network...

Thank you very much!!! So the worst case is that I have to stick to my original provider. Thanks again for easing my tension from failing!
