DCT3 Screen flickers then signal loss = PA ?

    Hi

I have a 8850 which on ocasions drops the signal just for the briefest ammount of time. I have noticed that signal doesnt usual drop when in stand by, and Ive never had signal loss when talking, but I have noticed that when the signal loss happens there is the very slightest ammount of flicker from the LED back lighting, does this point to the PA being the problem.

I have tried flashing, update fiad, tried chunkheads water damage procedure ( had nothing to loose by trying ) also tried using a heat gun at work instead of a hair drier as its hotter (300 deg C) but at a greater distance.

If it is the PA how easy would it be to replace, I have attempted small repairs with a soldering iron b4 on other mobiles with some success, but the PA seems to have rather a lot of solder holding it in place, compaired to what I have done in the past. basicly im after a bit of reassurance and maybe a tutorial on PA replacement for some one with out access to a proper hot air station.
