newbie question

Just wondering if someone could answer a question for me. I have a Nokia 3595 with Rogers AT&T as the provider here in Canada. I would like to unlock my phone and wonder what the IMEI number is for and where I can find it ? Is it located on the phone or is it provided by the provider.

just type *#06# on you keypad it will show you the IMEI
or look under the Battery
look something like this XXXXXX/XX/XXXXXX/X it is locked by the provider

Could you please send me the unlock code for my 3595. I am with Rogers AT&T (Toronto,Canada) , my IMEI # is 010262/00/156538/5.

Thanks again for the quick reply! I may be a little confused,do I enter the 15 digit code + 7 digit phone number? The reason I ask is that we have to now use the area code as well or it won't dial the number!
Please advise !

Just do as it say in my sig
Remove the sim card
switch on the fone
and type in the code i gave you( Just as it is nothing more )
#pw+326876453420272+7#
when you put in the last "#" the fone will give you a message
like Restriction Off or Code ERROR and then the fone will Reboot automaticly
if you get ( Restriction Off )
your fone is unlocked
