    nokia 6200 unlock please

Please provide an unlock code for a Nokia 6200.

    Model: 6200 NPL-3
    Provider: ATT USA
    IMEI: 351461 50 050925 1

    Thanks in advance.

Is there any way of checking the status of the Provider Lock after unlocking it short of trying another person's SIM card?

    IMEI is '351461500509251'
    Type 2
    Provider is '310380' (AT&T)

Verify the “IMEI” number is the same as the fifteen digit number at the very top of this post by dialling *#06#.

Power down phone, wait 15 seconds, remove battery, remove SIM. Replace battery and power up – “Insert SIM Card” displayed.

    Type the following as instructed:

    a. #
    b. * three times for “p”
    c. * four times for “w”
    d. * two times for “+”
    e. Type the 15 digit code (Carefully!)
    f. * two times for “+”
    g. The number “1, 5 or 7” (Whatever corresponds to the last digit in unlock code)
    h. #
Message such as "Phone Restriction Off" displayed if correct code entered. Code is unique to only this IMEI number/phone. You have 5 attempts to get code right.
    Please respond with results.

It worked beautifully, thanks a lot!!!

Has the phone now been unlocked for use with other countries' SIM cards as well (ie. is there a separate regional lock)?

    You're very welcome...

The phone will work on any provider in any country, so long as it carries one of the following frequencies: GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900

1900 is used in the USA, and Canada, Mexico.

1800 is used in most of Europe.

850 is still being developed in the states, but will be a better freq.

There are still quite a few countries that use solely the 900 freq. and the 6200 will not work in that case.

    I own a 6200 myself.....

    Hope this helps!!!
