Is that with special characters? A special extended character is bigger in bytes then a normal character, so that could be the problem... Just an opinion, this hasn't been confirmed.

    Anybody care to discuss this?

    Hi,

Set the message type to 7 bits gsm alphabet.
    Not to 16 bits Unicode.

1 sms can contain upto 140 bytes of data.
    That is (8/7 *140) or (8/16 * 140) characters.

My 3315 (3310 v4.35 before) has the same problem, so I flashed it back to 3310

It also looses network randomly in places where it doesn't when it was a 3310

    Hmm...

You updated the firmware to v5.57? I've NEVER had any sort of problems with this firmware version... well...

When the battery is flat it just turns off without any warning, I think it's because of the 70 tone flash file I used, the person that made the flash probably took that out or something

    Regards,
